Rick Spencer, Director Desktop-Entwicklung bei Canonical, hat auf der Ubuntu-Maillinglist angekündigt, dass man doch nicht Yahoo! als Standard-Suchmaschine unter Ubuntu einrichten wird, sondern Google. In einer Vorabversion von Ubuntu 10.04 war Yahoo! bereits als Standardsuchmaschine eingestellt. Am 15. April kommt das Entwickler-Freeze, so Spencer, und man solle sich nicht umgewöhnen müssen.
