Google hat seinem Satelitenprogramm Earth mal wieder ein neues frisches Foto-Update spendiert. Laut dem Google Earth Blog hat sich das Update besonders auf Deutschland konzentriert – dessen Fotos jetzt in einer sehr viel höheren Qualität vorliegen sollen. Außerdem gab es große Updates für Großbritannien, Kanada und einige US-Bundesstaaten.
Ich kann von dem Update leider mal wieder nichts bemerken. Sowohl an den mir bekannten Fotos von Berlin als auch von Wien kann ich absolut keine Änderungen feststellen. Könnte daran liegen dass Berlin eh schon in so guter Qualität vorliegt dass hier erstmal keine Qualitätssteigerung mehr nötig gewesen ist. In ländlichen Gegendenen dürfte das Update aber sicherlich sichtbar sein – oder?
