Den Gründern von mobile-facts.com ist es gelungen Googles OpenSource Betriebssystem, das auf Linux basiert, für Handys erfolgreich auf einem Eee PC zu portieren. Wie sie in ihrem Artikel dazu schreiben, war die Portierung sehr einfach. Andorid habe dabei sowohl die Bildschirm Auflösung erkannt und sich angepasst, als auch die meiste im Netbook verbaute Hardware.
Die Blogger spekulieren daher, ob Google das Betriebssystem nicht auch für Netbooks und Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) veröffentlichen könnte.

Nachdem Google nun schon Windows Mobile angegriffen hat kann es auch noch Microsoft auf Netbooks verdrängen.
Auch wenn ich dort lieber Linux gesehen hätte könnte es natürlich sein dass es bald schon Netbooks mit Android gibt. Mal sehn!
(Und irgendwann eine Desktopversion?)

Wenn ich mich nicht verlesen habe, dann basiert Android auf Linux oder täusche ich mich da? Ich meine das ist auch eine Strategie. Man bringt ein Betriebsystem für Handys auf den Markt, dass langfristig ohne Probleme auch auf dem Desktop laufen könnte. Das System einfach und ohne viel Schnickschnack, da ja in ein paar Jahren sowieso fasst alle im Web erledigt werden wird. Faszinierend, bin gespannt wie es bei Android weitergeht.
